WASHINGTON, D.C. The Office of the United States Attorneys (USATF) today filed a Federal Court (U.S. District Court, Northern District of Georgia) order in support of a lawsuit in the Texas Attorney General’s Office for seeking summary judgment against the defendants in the wrongful death lawsuit against the Attorney General, and for any other federal officials who knowingly, intentionally, or recklessly withheld information concerning the President.
The lawsuit alleges violations of U.S. Code 632-4-9.13 and is represented by counsel for the United States. The suit, brought by the ACLU of Illinois, seeks summary judgment against a wide number of federal and state officials and organizations responsible for protecting the American people with the intolerable disregard for those lives, privacy and safety for which so many Americans live.
U.S. District Court Judge Thomas M. Weisner on May 25, 2015 entered an order in support of the suit against the U.S. Attorney General’s Office and the U.S. government.
The plaintiffs on the case are a federal and state government employee who worked in an official capacity and who are required by the U.S. Constitution and U.S. Code to work for or oversee federal agencies and personnel when it would be unjustifiable to do so. The plaintiffs’ employment and safety as employees of federal agencies under the federal civil rights and labor rights laws and practices include those involving security and the protection of persons, property, and government.
The plaintiffs are also federal and state agencies and agencies that rely on the safety, security, employment, and safety of their employees. As stated in the complaint, the employees of both the President and Attorney General are obligated to keep their personal safety in mind as they take part the duties of performing their official duties under the law and the Constitution.
