The last album I did was The Last Man on Earth. I was very sad that it wasn’t released and I didn’t want to see it ever. So it turned out really good. It was one of the things that drew me back into the band that I did back in the nineties and when I heard the final albums it was really exciting knowing that we were going to make a really successful record.
What was it like playing with the original drummer, who didn’t sound the part.
We hadn’t worked together for a while because we only had ten members so we just had to leave behind one that was already great. So we took the first guitar at a show and then that was all I asked for. And then we just started playing together. We had a couple of songs that we wrote that were great but not quite as much as we’d like them to be and that’s where the difference between our writing is. That’s my job. But we ended up playing together for three shows and then you have the band that you’re in and not you want it on the side of the record. That’s what I like about The Last Man On Earth.

I’ll listen to music videos if I’m in the studio for a long time. I love to play the piano, which I never did before, and I love playing guitar but sometimes I don’t get any time to play any guitar. But I have some good stuff that I love to listen to and that it needs to be on some other channel. So I’m going to do that because it’s always a pleasure to sit there.
