As a refresher, these are people getting 300,000,000 a month on YouTube, which is almost 50,000 a month for the entire year. Most people spend their entire lives and sometimes their entire life on YouTube. Most of that is spent on advertising, and even then the numbers are limited by the revenue base for the site, so it doesn’t quite work that way. Some people get thousands of dollars or hundreds of thousands a month. The only way they can reach YouTube is by paying for their own advertising. For the average YouTube user that would expect this, I’d estimate a whopping 2.3 million to 3 million per year. As for what is going to pay for that ad, it varies from site to site, but you should be able to determine that from the revenue base alone.

1 Million Youtube Views

This seems to be a low point for us. While we have a pretty big audience, it seems that the number of monthly video views is still nowhere near where we were for most of the year, and it is now well below our growth rate. Our growth rate doesn’t exactly match up with what you might be thinking, but it does point us toward that number and, if it is not, people might expect more. That is pretty crazy stuff, and it is probably not something we will be seeing very long time now. We are getting older and we are getting younger people, but that does not give us any reason to expect these to come back in the future.

We will get people excited about YouTube, and then they will start to pay some of their own advertising and we might see some of these things disappear.
