Travis Dyer, the man who helped found a missing girl who had been rescued from his SUV in Texas, had been convicted of kidnapping his ex-girlfriend for sex on Jan. 7th, 2014.

According to an affidavit, T.J. Travis Dyer, 30, met D.C.’s ex-girlfriend while driving his SUV in Dallas on January 7th, 2014. Dyer allegedly drove to an apartment building on North 6th Street in the 5500 block of South 4th Avenue, but not before sending the woman to meet him and his ex-girlfriend who arrived the next day in his car. After Dyer’s ex-girlfriend found the woman in an elevator where Dyer raped her, he allegedly threatened her and sexually assaulted her. According to a police report, Dyer also stole a car belonging to his ex-girlfriend.

But Dyer’s ex-girlfriend said Dyer had asked her to drop the charges and just kill him. He then allegedly began raping her when she tried to break up. He allegedly tried to get her to have sex with other sex workers after she told him she wanted out there. When Dyer finally did, she left, but he continued. Dyer allegedly then threatened her with the word murder or rape her.

Dyer allegedly took her cellphone and camera from her face while on the road to Dallas.

The woman told police he repeatedly asked her to sleep outside. The women went to the apartment they shared on South 4th Street between 25th and 30th St, but Dyer took their phones from home. He said he’d raped her to make contact with other sex workers and he went to go buy some food and drink. She told him about the assault, Dyer says.

Dyer said he left the apartment early and told her he wanted to sleep outside to get a better look at his girlfriend’s body. He would have had sex with her when he saw her before he left, Dyer says. The woman said he had a gun in the back of his car that night.

The woman told the police what he had told her from that time.
