Who Was The First Well Known Ventriloquist - Axtell People Puppets

Well, my mom worked for a theater company in Connecticut and I knew she was not an actor. She was a circus performer. You would see her playing a clown every time she went out. These kids were playing those kind of things. One day in middle school, she was playing a violin, and one kid grabbed her by the mouth and put his hand in her mouth. She was choking up. That’s not a very good way to get a mouth to be choking up. She just started crying and said she was going to die. I’m talking about kids that are very young kids, they are sitting in their room and they want to go and they like to cry for a little while. She’s trying to be very kind and I was like, What happened to her The next day she was in the middle of doing a performance, and she was doing an opera-like performance. But I was like, I don’t know what to do. We ended up doing her ballet and she got some good lessons.

Did you know her

Yeah, I don’t know her at all. She is very beautiful. And I think people don’t know very much about us because she didn’t do a lot of theater. She was more a musician because I think she liked to play with kids. We had a good friendship because we had all our own instruments.

Did she enjoy it

Yeah, but that’s why we didn’t do much. We didn’t do much at all. At least that’s what I was thinking. And when we did she loved to play with kids and that was the whole thing.

Now, you’re a huge advocate for it. So, why did you end up doing that ballet And what was that about it that you were interested in doing

It was an opportunity for me to perform. After that, it was about the whole relationship between actors and us. And once that was done we started working with all our friends in the theatre community. It was pretty unique because all of a sudden I was having something to do with the community in general. I was always interested to do ballet in this state because I didn’t want to be associated with a bunch of clowns and all that sort of crap.

So, who played you in that ballet

I remember a guy from the circus said he would put me in a room with the girls and we would take some turns. And one night he had
