For the first time, a new piece of science fiction is about the world of the Doctor, and even more about a different era, the past. Dr. Jekyll and Hyde is as much an icon of Doctor Who as any other villain. The Doctor comes from a planet called the Skelomian Forest whose history is made of a single episode or two the final episode is The Daleks vs. Eternals, which introduces the Daleks, and it’s a bit of a joke you couldn’t possibly have known the episode was coming. Or in fact, not as far as The Daleks’ story takes you, at least.

And it has a lot to do with the nature of the Daleks who make their presence known and to some extent, their power. One is a human called Dr. Richard Keldur, the third-year Doctor when the Doctor and Sarah Jane were in a coma, and one is an alien named Dione, the Doctor’s second-best friend when Sarah and the Doctor were battling their own powers and Dione’s powers combined.

Of course, many parts of the Doctor’s history overlap with their powers, and the Daleks have been known to be quite capable so far, they seem to share the same history but this is not necessarily their true nature they are more powerful than you would have thought.

And that’s what really stands out, as Dr. Richard Keldur also knows the Daleks better than you do.
