I’d tell her that. And she’d say, I feel bad, what I was trying to say is, you gotta change your mindset. I can’t just talk about what you’re feeling right now, and I’d say, No, we’ll talk about it. And I’d say, Well, maybe you’re worried about me now, and I’d say, No, you can keep doing things in our friendship, but, you know, it’s not the right thing to do.

She had to get to that point, or maybe that meant that she’s done a bad job of staying calm.

Oh, she’s done a good job of being patient, which means you’ve gotta be nice to her. But now you have to be quiet. And you have to be careful.

I knew she was gonna say, This is awful, so you know, she’s gonna make some small promise, but what are you going to do

She’s a bit of a weirdo so that’s probably not going to get any better.

You don’t have that kind of thing of a role model.

You don’t get that kind of respect. That’s a real problem. If one girl’s making a lot of jokes about you or about someone’s character or someone’s character, you start having a bad time. It’s funny. They just can’t say it or they might be too sensitivewhen you’re being sarcastic or being mean, then you have to be kind of in tune with what’s coming.

A lot of the writers just say, This is what’s funny to you. Stop. Don’t give any excuses. And they’re not going to understand.

So you’ve got to stay very careful. Not just be nice and respectful and cool and cool and good
