A source told The Daily Beast that the source, a private citizen, was familiar with a few key Clinton Foundation payments.

The source also said that it wasn’t entirely clear who it was connected to. The Clinton Foundation had reportedly raised about 1.3 million during her tenure as secretary, and that was the highest total amount ever raised by a federal donor.

The source also said an undisclosed federal government department received at least 4.2 million through a Hillary Clinton business.

Manchin, who introduced several pieces of legislation, introduced the legislation to block her from doing any good work of the Clinton Foundation. He had been a member of the House Select Committee on Benghazi, while Clinton held the highest-profile congressional seat in the country.

During the 2012 presidential campaign and now, more recently, Manchin has spoken out against the Clinton Foundation, arguing in favor of legislation he has known for years.
