How Do You Make A Puppet Face - Ventriloquist Dummy

I make a face which is called an ‘imperial’ face, which is made by drawing on the outline of a character as it is. Sometimes you will come onto a character with a face which is actually too beautiful. The trickiest part is, we can’t make a face which isn’t perfect.

In a previous post, I said that my favorite art is to have both the face, and the mask.

What is it about the mask (or did it get removed from the art, or did my mask fall into obscurity)

In the past it’s easy to add a mask (with a mask), but that process became much more complicated after I started to consider the nature of faces. In the post last year I said that I would not make a face that wasn’t perfect, but I wouldn’t make a mask that got removed from my work. Why did you decide to do this

I was working with a young artist named Chris Schlossman at the time and he gave me a mask to show off (as opposed to a mask that I’m making now, which would have looked different). It was a very difficult project for me and a lot of people felt it would not work. The mask was too big to let the artist play the role, but I was happy to see that the artist did put his work to use and the result was an interesting mask for a few years afterwards. So I kept saying that I want to draw a more realistic figure so that I can create my own style for the medium.

We all know you want that perfect thing, but I also can’t help but think that you want to put the mask out there. Do you see yourself having any difficulty achieving this

As an artist who has never drawn a mask before, I am trying to create something more realistic. I love the thought of a mask that has a real face, but it also doesn’t look perfect. My mask will look a lot better, but I hope that someday I will have the desire to have a more realistic face. However, by doing so I am really looking forward to showing people that this can be a beautiful piece.
