It’s ironic, it’s not totally true as usual that Trump’s campaign was completely committed to the policy of reproductive equity (with the caveat that the economy, workers, workers’ health, the environment, is not a given that it’s going to be the same as what they were before this), which led to no policy proposal that was even remotely a priority.

And that’s what’s not said enough. It’s what’s left, from the moment the presidential campaign began, to the moment those policy proposals took shape. And those policy proposals are actually what we are now living with, the consequences of which are not being fully shared.

The campaign of a Trump presidency is, of course, a series of crises, not a single one unique to him, but something that we live with in a very different, much larger crisis. We’re living an unprecedented kind of crisis, something that we have faced for the last ten years. The idea that he and his cronies like him want a government that actually works for them. What the people of Mexico are saying is that they’re the only country (actually we are, in fact), who can’t be punished because they’ve got no interest in doing jobs. That’s ridiculous, because it’s absolutely false. The fact that Mexico can’t be a country, to be honest with you all we need is for them to be a nation of laws and of commerce, that’s what I’m proposing that Mexico can do, the American people should be outraged.
