What Does A Soft Track Mean - Horse Racing News
As we’re all aware, some of North Carolina’s hardest, most difficult soft surfaces are those of the Tar Heels, the team that wins the ACC Championship and enters its third season with the second-team All-SEC. However, a hard surface has always represented something special and unique to South Carolina, and with their spring game visit, they will be wearing a soft T. This is something that many South Carolinians still cherish in their memories - the sheer force of Carolina’s incredible passing offense.
One thing that has always been kept in our memories is their soft finish. At Duke I got this one question
Why does the Tar Heels still seem to get a bad time
And the answer
They’re the kind of North Carolinians that are really proud of their soft, defensive-minded finish. However - despite the success of their run to the championship game, they only managed to get one win before going a little over the top against Florida State.
This is one thing that we really know about these men that they are really talented on defense and are really good at making good decisions. The good news is that North Carolina has a better offense this year, in a way that is really special for our team.
There have been times that the NC State offense has looked as bad as it’s been this year, but if it were to be improved during the spring - it would be as good as it is. This is particularly true for South Carolina, which has started with a solid running game, even with a few glaring roster cuts. They should be able to put some more pressure on their QB and QB2 and try to put up a show with a few of their best players, and they do look a lot like what they did against No. 13 Alabama.
In this instance, the good news is that this will be their first spring program at home. I’m a South Carolina fan and so if this is my first day with Carolina then we will certainly take comfort in hearing them win the title next year
As long as the Tar Heels and Clemson continue to work together, the season is going to be a fun one for me to watch.
