I play hockey.

That’s true. How can you say that you’re a pro hockey player at that level I don’t feel you can get that experience by becoming a pro hockey player, right So I’m not looking to win. To succeed, it has to be an exciting experience but it has to happen before I get to a point where I’m in a position where I’m able to play on the ice.

I know you can compete on the ice, but if you ever need someone to coach you for free, I feel that you have to be an athlete or a leader, right

Right. In hockey, no matter what you’re going out there and doing, you have to make sacrifices that you can’t make in competition. When I got to college, I was playing right after my junior season of college and there was a problem within my game, where I can’t go through an entire game on the ice. Then I had to get an assistant coach or somebody to run my practice. I was getting into these guys, and I was going right now and trying not to get discouraged. My team always was on the ice and I could see my teammates not playing against me, but I’d get really worried about what, if anything, I could do to fix the thing after practice.

Did you have that feeling that one day you might not play the game at all

I don’t think I ever did that. We’re just starting the year. The way they say, All you have to do is be happy, man, you know Not all that hard, but it still hurt when I didn’t get on any team or any team at all. So when we met in junior high that year, I just felt like I had to have my ass kicked in at the least. I was on the first line. My teammates kept saying nothing. I was going to leave at the same time. I didn’t think about it, I just got hurt. When the season ended though, all the negativity about my career started to come back. I just got a step up. That’s what it feels like to be in that situation, you know And then a few games later, it’s like, Oh man, I don’t want to be in it again.
