He also had a great impact in the field of motion picture history he was part of the first three directors of the New York Film Festival to make their major-winning films in New York City (including the famous Hollywood Big Show, also by Bob Boodie, in 1937) and he was a co-founder. Bob’s legacy is clear The art and science of motion pictures and its history in the public and private spheres. What many may have missed from the past is the role Bob played in shaping our notions of reality and of the film industry and in its potential to take what he put in to be a great work of artand the impact it had on many others.

Bob Boodie was born in Nutter Falls, Pennsylvania in 1867. When Bob moved to New York to pursue his business, he became interested in film and, in the years since then, has worked with numerous artists to build up his collection, creating titles and establishing an art house in L’Enfant Plaza. Bob’s life was an epic one on the physical landscape. With his work on the American Renaissance and the work of others on postmodernism before him, Bob also took it upon himself to create films for the public to enjoy and to engage in.
