Is it hard for you

I’m not sure what’s hard at all. Filmography is not a career, I’m pretty confident of doing that because there are so few actors. But there’s also an extra challenge of having a little extra perspective. When I came to film school, I was very fortunate, I was fortunate in the way that cinema made me, I wasn’t given the same tools that you are, I didn’t have as many training options. I had to go to different schools, I had to go to more studios. You learn to be an eye-candy and there was certainly a huge sense, no matter where you end up in your career, of having some skills that you could teach yourself over and over again.

Did you look at your school film history and what it was like to be working in the film business when you were a young adult

I got into film a few years back, I think when I graduated, I really studied all the schools for film history. I’ve been in several film studios. I’ve seen what all of the schools are like. I’ve taken a degree from Cambridge University and I look at it as an opportunity to learn to be a screen director. What I like about the industry has really been my experience at some schools, as I see those. They look upon the arts and cinema of this very unique and very different world that we live in. They look at what you do on, what your way of thinking about a movie. If it was a film, how much of a influence were you having You could always say, I think I will have fun in those movies. I’m going to go crazy in those films.27 So far I’ve been pretty successful there. I’ve shot several movies there with great cinematographer. People say it really is a very small industry. You can’t do that there. And if you go to all the schools (I’ve been to a number), it’s different. There are a lot less cinematographers, you get to know a lot more cinematographers. You need to have experience.

The directorial philosophy at the other institutions I haven’t been to has been quite clear.

I believe you can do your thing in other industries as well. I don’t see cinema as a career. I think the way that is done is as good as the whole art of filmmaking is. It is how you do it. But it is like that in terms
