If you’re a producer, make sure you get your client in the door, says Chris Maffei of the company F1 Production, whose clients include the British media mogul Steven Spielberg and the British producer Paul Thomas Anderson.

F1 is not the only major sports organisation to benefit from film, from the likes of Audi, Honda, Toyota and Mercedes to Jaguar and BMW.

If you’re a director, you make it easier for your client to get involved in other things such as TV projects, Maffei suggests.

A film contract

In addition to having a film deal or a film contract with a production company, an artist (or filmmaker) could also set up an independent agency or commission the work of a film client.

The key is to create a relationship so that the movie takes place before your client goes and takes part in, says Chris McQueen of F1 Production.

They need a script, he adds. But also, we have a film, which is going to affect the movie based on the movie’s storyline, and it helps us to set up a project relationship with our client.

The New Orleans Pelicans, in a deal signed this week, have now identified one of their top need centers as their next swingman and will likely use him to fill two of the three remaining spots.

The Pelicans have been linked to Anthony, who they have reportedly reached an understanding with for about 2 million per player.

This is a major expansion for the Pelicans, who have so far failed to make a single one of the deals in the second half of this season.

The addition of Porzingis means the Pelicans need to keep the five remaining positions at both ends of the floor as well as keeping Anthony for the full season.

The Nets agreed to an extension earlier this month and have agreed to waive contracts for both.
