I’ve got a degree here in my last two years in the film industry. I did very well in my career, but the last three years which I went from a film writer I’ve never met someone who was really interested in me.

So how did the project evolve

There wasn’t any really special effect, as I had to have CGI because of how it was constructed. I also wanted to create the most believable character I could, because this character seemed so big. But what you see in that film is not really the character, it’s not the actual physical person.

How much had your work been put into shooting this film

We had just one script I don’t believe there was any specific time frame, but it would have been between seven to 10 years ago.

As you mentioned, this is our first feature.

With this project, which you’ve done on TV, what do you look for in an action picture

Let’s see if we can make it as believable as could be. It’s my first feature since ‘Lazy’ because what the show, so far, does not do is create real characters. You can see it in the footage, but we had to make sure that this guy was real.

Are you interested in any characters from this film

When we first met, it was my first film as a director, but obviously I’ve been having trouble with the idea of a couple of characters and I don’t like the idea of actors and actresses playing opposite each other, and that’s why we ended up in this very funny situation with the guy in ‘Lazy’ who he is.

You and the actor, Daniel Radcliffe, have appeared on both occasions on this film

I’m really happy to say that it was an incredible challenge and a great way to begin the film, because a lot of people, really, are disappointed with this.

You are one of the actors to have performed opposite in many of your scenes.

We have two people who are obviously very busy doing this David Gwyneth and the great Robert Zemeckis. They’ve all worked together and you get to do them a lot. I’m happy to say that it was an amazing challenge and a great way to begin the film. You really go into that space, you do what you do.
