I know how very important they can be. I mean, it is such a very important thing. You know, I don’t care who’s playing who. I want my movies to do all kinds of things. In late July, a Texas woman was charged Tuesday with second-degree murder in the June 2012 death of his 14-year-old daughter, who police said shot her in the chest as she slept.

It was less than one month after the suspect, 23-year-old Eric Williams was convicted in his killing of James Morgan, who is also charged in the deaths of three friends.

Williams was sentenced to six years in prison and a 500,000 fine, a ruling that he was ordered to attend counseling before his sentencing.

Police said there were no signs in his home that a gun shot was fired. Williams’ attorney, Chris Hagan, said investigators were unable to locate any gun or ammunition inside his home.

Hagan called the suspicion of a potential gunshot a serious threat and said prosecutors could face an additional charge of homicide if convicted.

We’re very concerned that there will be additional charges in the first place, Hagan said in a brief phone interview Friday. We have an ongoing investigation to assess and find out what took place that night.

The state Attorney General’s office initially issued the ruling but later made the decision to hold Williams in a county jail. Hagan said in a news release that while there was no criminal charge for Williams’ actions, his probation will also be extended to 10 years.

In addition to Williams’s conviction for first-degree murder, it’s still possible the case could be dropped. Williams’ attorney, Scott Dyeing, has argued that the state should have issued his release earlier because of a possible pattern of neglect.

Prosecutors said Williams’ actions occurred because of his relationship with his son Anthony Jones, and as part of their evidence against him, officers were called to a home in the 700 block of South Ketcham where they found Anthony Williams shooting, including two guns and several small arms, according to police reports.
